“Taiwan develops and researches high technology, good quality parts while China plants provide mass-production,
competitive goods to end-users"

Established in 1958 and located in Taipei, Taiwan, TY-OHM is a major resistor supplier to Computer, Telecommunications and Consumer appliance markets.

We first produced Carbon Film and some Wire Wound resistors:

  • 1970 we started production of metal oxide film resistors and wire wound resistors type SQ & QH in cooperation Japan Resistor Mfg.Co.,Ltd.

  • 1975 we began technical cooperation with an American company, Kidco Inc. and began manufacturing precision metal film resistors.

  • 1985 we marketed resistor networks & fusible resistors.

  • High-tech SMD chip resistors and chip resistor networks were developed in 1990s.

  • From 2001 on we have concentrated on power SMD resistors.

For over four decades we have prospered through consistent and ever-improving quality. From "Class A" Q.C. factory approval by local government in 1980 to ISO-9002 in 1995 and Philips Lighting Oss award for excellent performance in quality, delivery and support in 1996. TS16946 is underway.

With a total of 150 employees and fourteen types of resistors, we have been the major supplier to Computer, Tele-communications and Consumer electronics corporations local and abroad including  Tyco, Philips, Osram, Friwo, Samsung, Mitsumi, Matsushita, Salcomp, Magnetek, Honeywell, Schneider, Flextronics, Logitech, ABB, BenQ, Acer, Skynet, Grundfos, LG, Radio Shack, etc.

As well as our plant in Taiwan we have two plants in China, one in Shenzhen and the other in Suzhou.
