Integration
SRI HERMETICS specializes in the manufacture of high performance
hermetic connectors and the processes to install these connectors. SRI is
fully capable of all of the standard solder integration processes as well as
laser weld integration. SRI is a "One Stop Shop". Our engineers creatively

Advanced Processes & Materials
SRI HERMETICS creates unique solutions by using advanced processes such as
laser welding, explosion welding or diffusion bonding. This allows us to
combine some of the best materials into one solution that provides optimum
performance for all conditions.
SRI HERMETICS provides fully
connectorized electronic packaging in many materials including aluminum,
titanium, stainless steel, copper alloys, aluminum composite,
copper/molybdenum composite as well as the conventional ferrous alloys like
alloy 46 and Kovar. SRI has the technology to combine many of these
materials to give our customers the optimum material performance for weight,
thermal conductivity, thermal expansion and cover sealing processes. One
example of this technology is our aluminum composite titanium packaging. The
aluminum composite material provides excellent weight, thermal and CTE
properties while the titanium provides a surface to laser weld a cover into
place.
Dissimilar
Metal Bonding
SRI HERMETICS can manufacture connectors using dissimilar metals. Our
technology allows the customer to get the material of choice in his
connector while providing SRI with the optimum material to use for the
hermetic seal. This unique combination of preferred materials in the
manufacture of hermetic connectors allows SRI to create connectors from
titanium, aluminum, copper or any other metal material while maintaining the
highest quality and reliability in the dielectric seal area of the
connector.
Composite Materials
SRI HERMETICS can manufacture aluminum composite connectors that are
designed to be laser weldable to typical aluminum alloys such as 6061, 4047,
4032, 2219 and others. This technology is compatible with all shapes and
sizes of connectors and can be custom configured to any customer
requirement.
Composite Bushings
SRI HERMETICS can manufacture composite bushings that can be mounted to
standard connectors that will allow these connectors to be laser welded into
aluminum packaging.
Fiber Optic Connectors & Feed-Throughs
Ceramax® can seal directly to
fiber optic glass; SRI can produce hermetic fiber optic connectors and feed-throughs.
High
Pressure
Using Ceramax®, SRI can create high-pressure seals in custom feed-throughs
as well as connectors for products such as down hole oil feed-throughs,
explosive ordinance connectors and internal combustion engine parts.

3-Dimensional Computer Design
SRI HERMETICS uses Solidworks
for its design work allowing importing and exporting of computer files with
customers. This enables our customer to take fuller advantage of our design
knowledge.
